Expand Both sides of the issue ? You mean the issue of 'Honest news reporting' versus 'speculative rabble rousing' to get a juicy story.
ReplyDeleteYesterday every e-news article still featured pictures of a 12 year old black boy next to a rough looking Hispanic mug shot. And pictures worth a 1000 words, the image is 90% of the story, I know it, You know it and the media uses 'Images' to shape our opinions. They show us beautiful folks to tell us whats good for us and they use Ugly folks to show us whats bad. Simple trick but it still works !
Its propaganda 101, the basic mechanism. If you haven't noticed it, you haven't looked, its in our movies our TV and e-news stories. Ugly equals wrong and Beauty equals right.
The media continues to show us these contrasting photos in hopes of keeping up the outrage and perhaps even inciting alittle race hatred, You know, some brown on black attack, that should sell they think, never caring the social harm they do.
I am a white guy, I have lived in this mixed neighborhood for 27 years and I have NO black or brown enemies. Our enemy is the "media" that would sell its mother to get a story.
